Day-1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive)
The journey begins from Dehradun, where trekkers gather at Prince Chowk for a 6 am pick-up. From there, it’s a scenic 220 km drive to Sankri, a picturesque village situated at an altitude of 1,950 meters (6,400 feet). This drive takes approximately 10 hours, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Upon arrival at Sankri, trekkers settle into their accommodations and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day-2: Sankri to Seema via Taluka
On the second day, the trek begins with a short 1-hour drive from Sankri to Taluka, located at 2,000 meters (6,700 feet). From Taluka, trekkers embark on a 12 km trek to Seema, which is situated at 2,600 meters (8,500 feet). This section of the trek takes about 7-8 hours, offering lush forests, rivers, and stunning views of the Himalayan range. Seema provides a serene environment for a restful overnight stay before continuing deeper into the mountains.
Day-3: Seema to Devsu Bugyal
The trek continues from Seema to Devsu Bugyal, which lies at an altitude of 3,100 meters (10,200 feet). The trail covers a distance of 10 kilometers and takes approximately 5-6 hours. This stretch of the trek offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding meadows and valleys, with the distant peaks providing a mesmerizing backdrop. Trekkers will experience the peaceful ambiance of Devsu Bugyal, an alpine meadow known for its natural beauty and tranquility.
Day-4: Devsu Bugyal to Ruinsara Tal
On the fourth day, the trek leads to Ruinsara Tal, a pristine lake located at 3,600 meters (11,800 feet). The distance covered is approximately 7 kilometers, taking around 4-5 hours. As trekkers ascend through forested paths and open meadows, they are rewarded with panoramic views of the majestic mountains. Day-5: Ruinsara Tal to Odari

The trek involves steep climbs and descents, but the stunning views of the snow-clad peaks keep trekkers motivated. Odari serves as a base for the next day’s challenging climb towards the Bali Pass, offering trekkers a chance to rest and prepare for the ascent.
Day-6: Odari to Bali Col Camp
The highlight of the trek is the journey from Odari to Bali Col Camp at 4,600 meters (15,100 feet). This segment covers a distance of 5 kilometers and takes approximately 6-7 hours. The trail is demanding, with rugged terrains and steep climbs, but the reward is the awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains and the opportunity to experience the vastness of the Himalayan wilderness.
Day-7: Bali Col Camp to Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass
The trek reaches its highest point with the crossing of Bali Pass at 4,950 meters (16,200 feet). From Bali Pass, trekkers descend to Lower Dhamni at 3,350 meters (11,100 feet), covering a distance of 14 kilometers, which takes about 10-11 hours. The journey through the pass is challenging yet rewarding, as trekkers witness the dramatic transition from a high-altitude pass to lush valleys and meadows.
Day-8: Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti and drive to Dehradun
On the final day, the trek winds down with an 8-kilometer trek to Janki Chatti at 2,600 meters (8,500 feet), taking approximately 4-5 hours. From Janki Chatti, trekkers are transported back to Dehradun via a 170-kilometer drive, which takes around 7-8 hours. This marks the end of a memorable trek through the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas, filled with adventure, natural beauty, and unforgettable experiences.
