Day 1: Manali to Gulaba and Trek to Gulaba Meadows
Starting from Manali, the drive to Gulaba offers stunning views of quaint villages and lush green surroundings. After an hour’s drive, the trek begins with a short, one-hour hike to the Gulaba Meadows campsite. The trail is lined with verdant grasslands and forested areas, making for a serene introduction to the trek. At the campsite, enjoy a hot lunch, relax in twin-sharing tents, and take in the breathtaking sunset and starlit skies.
Day 2: Gulaba to Rola Kholi
The trek from Gulaba to Rola Kholi begins with a steep ascent that gradually levels out. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours, passing through dense forests of Pine, Oak, Birch, and Cedar before opening up to expansive meadows dotted with grazing cattle. Along the way, take in the spectacular views of Mt. Hanuman Tibba and the Seven Sisters peaks. The day concludes at the Rola Kholi campsite, surrounded by the serenity of the mountains.
Day 3: Rola Kholi to Bhrigu Lake and Back to Rola Kholi
This day involves an early start for the trek to Bhrigu Lake, situated at 14,000 ft. The 7- to 8-hour round trip traverses rocky and snowy terrain with a mix of steep ascents and level trails. The journey is rewarded with panoramic views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges, along with glimpses of peaks like Deo Tibba, Indrasen, and Hanuman Tibba. After soaking in the beauty of Bhrigu Lake, the return journey leads back to the Rola Kholi campsite for the night.
Day 4: Rola Kholi to Gulaba and Drive to Manali
The final day begins with a descent from Rola Kholi to Gulaba, retracing the scenic meadows and forests. The trek, which takes about 2 to 3 hours, offers a manageable but steep downhill journey. Upon reaching Gulaba, the drive back to Manali marks the end of the trek.
