Day 1: Drive From Rishikesh To Pipalkoti
The journey begins with an early morning drive from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti, covering approximately 200 km in about 10 hours. Trekkers will be picked up from the TTH office at 6:00 AM in a comfortable vehicle. En route, you’ll witness the lush beauty of Uttarakhand, with opportunities to enjoy breakfast and lunch at roadside eateries (not included in the cost). Upon arrival at Pipalkoti by evening, trekkers will settle into a guesthouse. The day concludes with tea, a briefing about the trek, and a hearty dinner. Pipalkoti provides a relaxing halt before the adventure begins.
Day 2: Drive to Mana via Badrinath and Trek to Lakshmi Van
The day starts with a scenic drive from Pipalkoti to Mana, passing through the holy town of Badrinath and covering 80 km in about 3–4 hours. The trek to Lakshmi Van begins from Mana, traversing 7–8 km over 5–6 hours. Along the way, you’ll encounter the majestic Vasundhara Falls, a towering 400-foot cascade, and enjoy views of the Alkapuri Glacier, the source of the Alaknanda River. Upon reaching Lakshmi Van, trekkers settle into twin-sharing tents for the night amidst serene surroundings.
Day 3: Lakshmi Van To Chakrateertha
The trek continues from Lakshmi Van to Chakrateertha, covering a 7 km trail in 5–6 hours. This part of the journey involves gradual ascents through rocky terrain and alpine meadows, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks. Chakrateertha is a peaceful and scenic campsite, where trekkers will spend the night in twin-sharing tents under the starry sky.
Day 4: Chakrateertha To Satopanth Tal And Back
The highlight of the trek unfolds on this day as you journey from Chakrateertha to the sacred Satopanth Lake, situated at an altitude of 14,258 ft. The trek covers a total of 10 km (5 km each way) and takes about 8 hours. The serene triangular lake is steeped in mythology and is believed to be a resting place for the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. After soaking in the tranquil beauty and spiritual vibes of the lake, trekkers return to Chakrateertha for an overnight stay in tents.
Day 5: Chakrateertha To Mana and Drive to Badrinath
Descending from Chakrateertha, trekkers cover 15 km back to Mana in approximately 5–6 hours. The journey offers a chance to revisit the picturesque landscapes seen earlier. From Mana, a short 10-minute drive takes you to Badrinath, where trekkers spend the night at a hotel. This day offers a blend of trekking and comfort as you prepare for the final stretch of the journey.
Day 6: Badrinath To Rishikesh
The trek concludes with a long drive back to Rishikesh, covering 290 km in about 10–11 hours. Starting early at 6:00 AM, the journey winds through scenic mountain roads, with stops for breakfast and lunch at local roadside inns (not included in the package). Trekkers arrive in Rishikesh by evening, marking the end of a memorable adventure filled with natural beauty, cultural richness, and spiritual serenity.
